How is Tourism Tax handled?
TTx is RM10 per room per night for non-Malaysian guests, a flat levy rather than a percentage, so it posts as its own folio line. Nationality-aware automatic posting is on the pack's roadmap.
Rooms at 8% but restaurant at 6%, really?
Yes. When accommodation moved to 8% in March 2024, F&B stayed at 6%. Kamra's Malaysia pack applies each correctly without you configuring anything.
Is anything locked behind a paid plan?
No. Every feature, including the Malaysia tax pack, is open source and free. You pay only for people's time (implementation, support) or for hosting if we run the server for you.
