What's in 2.6.5, from the operator view.
What's in 2.6.5
- One-screen walk-in. Guest, ID, room number, dates, and payment sit on one screen. Check in and collect finishes the whole step together, or it changes nothing.
- Country-aware front desk. The country pack sets ID types, payment methods, currency, and time zone. The setup wizard asks for the country first. A Saudi Arabia pack is included.
- ZATCA e-invoicing, Phase 1. Saudi properties get a QR code, UBL 2.1 XML, and a hash chain on invoices, credit notes, and paid outlet bills. Country setup and ZATCA.
- Room levy and Arabic check-in. A room levy (municipality fee or city tax) posts as its own nightly line. Guests can self check-in in Arabic. The privacy notice names that country's regulator.
- Housekeeping Room Board. Room status changes are checked against role, property, and permission. A Housekeeping Supervisor role gets a Room Board in Housekeeping.
- Phone dial codes. The default dial code covers Yemen and the Arab world. A foreign guest keeps their own code.
- Invoices outside India. The invoice footer follows the country pack. Properties outside India no longer inherit Indian defaults such as nationality labels or CGST and SGST.
- Public booking. Install and migrate create the booking agent user, so a new site can take guest bookings. Each site can turn MCP off.
- Self-host install. The installer builds Kamra on your server. Updates complete, and you can run the installer again safely.
- Security. Access controls are tighter, and inbound webhooks are verified before Kamra accepts them. Upgrade when you can.
After you update
Run bench migrate. It adds the ZATCA records, the room-levy fields, and the Housekeeping Supervisor role and permissions. Guest ID type is checked against the country pack. Data you already have is kept.
